How far does it bend?

At the first visit we measure range of motion with a goniometer placed on the joint. Set the leg or arm the way you can move it today and see how far you are from normal.

The knee bends to 95°. Normal is 135°, so 40° short.

Book a visit with this measurement

Drag on the drawing or use the arrow keys.

Norms from the AAOS; the everyday thresholds are approximate.

Your first visit, minute by minute

Bring comfortable clothes and any test results you have: X-ray, MRI, hospital discharge notes.

    1. How long it has hurt, what helps, what makes it worse, what you do day to day and what you want to get back to.

    2. Range of motion, strength, functional tests. We look for the cause, not just the place that hurts.

    3. Manual therapy or exercises, chosen based on what the assessment showed.

    4. How many visits we expect and why. You get your exercises in writing and as videos on your phone.

    Exercises for home

At the end of the first visit you get a sheet with your exercises, and the same exercises with a counter on your phone. These are the three we give most often.
